Saturday was a busy day for HIMself and me. We had so much on our to do list. We wanted to vote, peruse a few yard and estate sales and go to Walgreens.
Walgreens Loyalty Card Launch
You know I am already a fan and a member of Walgreens Prescription Club. This month Walgreens launched their Loyalty Card program and we headed to our local store to get one. The signage started outside the front entrance. The store had displays about the Balance Reward program everywhere. Just check out the photos below and see…you could not miss this launch…
It only took a few seconds to sign up at the store while I was downloading the app. All I needed to do was give them my phone number and click a few buttons on the screen and I had my card!!!
How to Sign Up for Walgreens Balance Rewards Loyalty Card
Visit you local Walgreens and ask one of the employees to sign you up. It really does just take a few minutes if you are already in the system. If not, it may take a little longer. But before you know it you will have your card and you can begin building Walgreens rewards points. It is even quicker with your smart phone via the Walgreens app. Just go to your app store and download the app. It takes just a few minutes to start saving and building Walgreens rewards.

Stocking Up for Cold and Flu Season
After we signed up we shopped for our medicine cabinet. I am a firm believer in prevention. So I naturally head to the preventative products like Vitamin C and Zinc. I love that I can get my flu shot right there too.
While shopping I noticed the Walgreens Cold and Flu book. It is loaded with useful and educational information for symptoms and how to tell the difference between cold or flu. Natural options for those of us who don’t like to take too much medication. Great tips on how to care for your children when the flu or cold strikes. They even have a lip care section. It has everything you need to know to be prepared for this cold and flu season. Pick one up today!!!
We filled our handy dandy rolling basket with our cold and flu products. Emergen-C, Cold and Flu tabs, saline spray and Kleenex…that should do it for us this year!!! Oh and a flu shot!!! You can see our entire shopping experience in photos here.
Check out was a snap and we even got to use our brand new rewards card. We stocked our medicine cabinet for Cold and Flu Season and we earned Balance Rewards in the process! Now that is a good thing for sure!

On the way home we checked out the weather at the beach as Hurricane Sandy passed…I hope our friends in the northeast are spared the wrath of this powerful storm.
